Scholastic Art 2016-2017

Congratulations to the 2017 Scholastic Art Award recipients!

Over 75 individual entries from the Junior Senior High School were submitted for judging to the Central New York Scholastic Art Awards Competition this January. Our students competed with over 90 other junior and senior high schools throughout the Central New York region. There was a record number of artwork submitted to the competition this year reaching over 5,400 individual entries. Two days of rigorous judging resulted in 26 of our students receiving a total of 38 awards in this prestigious competition. All award winners have their artworks on display at the Whitney Applied Technology Center at Onondaga Community College. On opening night the Gold Key winners are invited to a special Awards Ceremony and a first look at the exhibit which takes up an amazing three floors of display space. The exhibit is on view to the public beginning Friday, January 13th and closes on Saturday, March 4th. Gold Key winners will have their work go on to compete at the National Competition in New York City in March. Mrs. Carr and Mrs. Robinson wish to congratulate these students for their hard work and achievement!
