ESOL Teacher

Hello ESOL Friends and Families!

My name is Katie McKenna. I am the ESOL Specialist at Conway Elementary and Ladue Early Childhood Center (LECC). I am so happy to be working with you this year. This is my 19th year of teaching for the Ladue School District. For the first 12 years, I worked as a Pre-K teacher at the LECC. During this time, I found my passion for working with English learners. This is my 7th year working as an ESOL Specialist and I can truly say that I am where I should be. Welcome to ESOL!

All About Me

Me and my husband, Scott, in Michigan...our happy place!

My son, Connor, is going to college to be a sound engineer and my daughter, Riley, is in 11th grade at LHWHS.

This is Rudy. He is a black lab. We got him on Christmas 8 years ago. We like to take walks together. He is my best buddy!

I am a huge Cardinal baseball fan! Even though I grew up in NJ, they have always been my team. I became a gymnast because Ozzie Smith did flips in the outfield.

We travel to Michigan every summer. I love waking up early and watching the sunrise over the lake.

I enjoy bird watching, especially eagles. I am fascinated by nature and all it has to offer us.

I love being outside and spending time with my family and friends. I like to take boat rides, kayak, fish and hike.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching Riley play volleyball and Connor play guitar. I also enjoying singing and dancing.
