English I-III

The courses emphasize individual goal-setting and conferencing as well as student voice and choice in determining what we read and how we show what we know.
Math
Students may enroll in a math class depending on which credits they need for their future goals. LEADS Math offerings shift each year depending on the needs of enrolled students. Some past offerings have included: Geometry Concepts, Algebra II Concepts, Quantitative Reasoning.
Our LEADS math teacher is also available during LEADS Lab to help students with their math needs in and outside of LEADS.
Science & Social Studies
LEADS students have the unique opportunity to concurrently enroll in Scientific Investigations andSustainable Investigations, which are cross-curricular courses that offer embedded credit in science and social studies.
Scientific Investigations/Inquiry I-III (10, 11, 12 ) are lab-based courses that engage students in authentic, curiosity-drivenexperimentation beginning with the immediate world around us and the environment in which we live. A focus of the investigations is on gathering data that informs the health and sustainability of the natural world that supports human activity. As the classes progress,students will perform their own independent scientific investigation of a topic of the student’s choice.
Sustainable Investigations I-III (10, 11, 12) are courses that engage students in developing the skill of systems thinking through the three dimensions of sustainability: social/cultural, economic, and environmental. Students will explore the challenge of sustainable development by examining and posing questions, proposing and researching solutions, and exploring careers related to meeting human needs in a world of finite resources and complex, interconnected systems.

LEADS Lab
LEADS Lab
LEADS students may seamlessly enroll in online courses to recover and/or get ahead on credits needed to graduate. This offering is especially useful for students who want to graduate early or who may find themselves behind on credits and need to catch up. Students will have designated time to complete their online coursework, and will be supported by LEADS staff in this work.
All students are enrolled in LEADS lab, which meets every white day. It's a more open-ended time allotted to set goals, work on assignments and get individualized support from teachers and each other.
This course earns 0.25 credits as an elective.
