Solar Power Initiatives at Summit Environmental

In 2020, Summit Environmental School installed its first of many solar-powered systems through fundraising and donation efforts from the local community.

An article was featured by WXOW, a local news station documenting the partnership between Summit Environmental, the La Crosse Public Education Foundation and SOLS (Solar on La Crosse Schools).

In 2023, plans were started to create a solar-powered outdoor learning space at the school.
