The Challenge!
Matilda was known for her love of reading! She wants you to build a book stand or "tower"  to keep your copy of Matilda as safe as possible! However, you can only use and paper and tape! How tall can you build a book tower? Follow the rules on the video, but instead of using a can of food, use your copy of Matilda! Figure your score based on the scoring equation mentioned in the video!  Good luck!

Matilda used her "magical" abilities to teach many lessons! Can you learning a magic trick to teach others? This is your challenge!

• Write a new or the next chapter!

• Create a book advertisement or trailer!

• Read one of the books that were mentioned in Matilda.

• Turn one chapter of the story into a

• comic book strip.

• Write a song that Matilda might sing about her life.

• Pretend you are a reporter and are interviewing Matilda once she is grown up. What questions would you ask her and what do you think her answers would be?

• Miss Trunchbull used to be an athlete. Plan a game that Miss Trunchbull might make her students play in gym class. Write out your plan so we can play the game too!

• Draw a picture of Miss Honey’s house, and label and describe the different parts of it.

• Make a timeline to show the important events of Matilda’s life.

• Develop your own project!
