What is Read Your Heart Out?

In celebration of National African American Parent Involvement Day, Hintgen participates in an event called Read Your Heart Out. 2024 will mark Hintgen's 5th year participating in this tradition. Family members, community members and volunteers who identify as African American/Black read books, recite poetry or connect with students through reading in the classroom during the Read Your Heart Out celebration.
