We will have a mandatory meeting for all participants on June 13th from 11 am - 12 pm at LCT's LEAP Center, located at 724 Cass St, with an option to attend via GoogleMeet. We will go over what to expect, procedures, and have time for any questions that may come up.

Middle School Technical Theatre

July 20-August 9, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, La Crosse Community Theatre

Performances: Friday, August 7, 2026 at 7 pm, Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 2 pm

Course Description: Students will execute the technical elements of our middle school theatre production, The Music Man Jr, during rehearsals and performances. This includes but is not limited to spot light operators, sound board operators, run crew, and front of house. Performances will be Friday, July 17 at 7:30, Saturday, July 18 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, July 19 at 2:00 pm. Attendance at all performances is required for participation in this class.

Age: For students entering grades 5-12 in the 2026-27 school year

Course Description: Students will learn and perform The Music Man Jr. We may not be able to cast all who audition so the cast list will be decided and communicated by Friday, May 29th, in case other plans need to be made. Attendance at all performances is required for participation in this class. 

Age: For students entering grades 5-8 in the 2026-27 school year

*Students entering 5th grade in the 2026-27 school year are only eligible for ensemble, but still must audition*

AUDITION INFORMATION

Auditions for The Music Man Jr. will be held on Monday, May 18th and Tuesday May 19th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts. Students will stay the whole time and only need to attend one day. Students will sing and dance at their audition so please dress appropriately (clothes you can move in and closed toed shoes with backs) and bring water (we do have water fountains, but our water here has a taste that really bothers some people). If needed, callbacks will be held on Wednesday, May19th at 6:30pm. Students and families will be notified Tuesday night if they are needed for a callback on Wednesday.
