The Pinky Swear Foundation aspires to say “yes” to every family with a child battling cancer, an "All-Star”. The foundation was founded in 2003 by Steve and Becky Chepokas in memory of their son, Mitch who passed away of bone cancer in 2003. While in the hospital, Mitch asked his dad to pinky swear that he will continue to help kids with cancer forever. That is how the foundation got their name.
Since 2003, the Pinky Swear Foundation has provided more than $4.5 million in financial assistance and quality of life support to families with a child battling cancer. They provide financial support for services including:
· Stable housing rent/mortgage payments
· Reliable transportationà cay payments, insurance & gas card
· Groceriesà healthy food for the families & a food pantry
· Billsà utilities or other unique needs
· Memorable experiencesà family getaways to provide worry-free, quality time together
The Pinky Swear Ambassadors on Campus for Kids (PACK Program) will work to raise awareness for pediatric cancer and to make donations to this wonderful organization.
