We recommend the Texas Instrument:
All LACHSA Math (A1, Geo and A2) and Science classes use this calculator for instruction. It is SAT approved.
Regular or HONORS?
You should take Regular Algebra II if you do not plan to take math next year (unless you are in 11th grade and plan to take probability and statistics as a senior).
You should take Honors Algebra II as a preparation course for Honors Pre-Calculus. If you are a 9th grader you will need to enroll in the honors course to ensure you can take a second year of math as a 10th grader and meet the CA high school graduation requirements.
LACHSA only recommends students take 2-3 AP/Honors classes a year so please be sure to account for this in your planning. With LACHSA's rigorous 10 class period curriculum, remember life balance and the need to only take on what you can excell in!
