Young Athletes

Dear Families,

Your student has been invited to Join Little Lions of Lacey. Online program starts Tuesday, May 11, 2021 @2pm. We will be meeting weekly on Tuesdays, via google meet, from May 11- June 15th.

Young Athletes introduce Children ages 2 through 7 to the world of Special Olympics New Jersey. It is based on the following principles:

• inclusive sports play that teaches skills like balance, jumping and kicking

• Learn social skills like taking turns and playing with a teammate

• Build self confidence

• Play as a family and meet new friends

Students are encouraged to participate with the coaches. A list of household materials needed for the meeting will be posted the Friday before.

During the week, you are encouraged to practice the targeted skill and send us a video to this address: sdanziger@laceyschools.org so it can be uploaded to our Unified Lions website
