The Band program in the Lacey School District begins in Fourth Grade. Students can learn Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Baritone. Percussion is not available to Fourth Grade students, but is in Fifth Grade. Students that opt into the program and have rented or purchased an instrument will recieve a pull out 30 minute lesson once a week. They will also have a Demonstration Concert in the spring.
The Fifth Grade Band program is a continuation of the the Fourth Grade band. Students will recieve a pull out 30 minute lesson once a week. In addition they will be meeting as a partial band once a week before school and once a month as a full band. The Ensemble usually performs twice throughout the school year.
