Video Conferencing Etiquette: The customary code of polite behaviour when using Google Meet
Arrive on-time
Get yourself organised and ready by the meeting start time
Mic off
unless you are the one speaking
Camera on
unless you are doing something distracting
remember that everyone (including teachers and parents) are watching!
Only use chat (typing) for questions and answers.
No mucking around, silly or mean comments.
Normally this is used to inform or direct a questions to the whole group or just the speaker/presenter.
Do not comment on other peoples questions/comments.
Leave the meeting promptly
Only stay in the Meet if you have a question for the teacher.
When it is over, click the hang-up button immediately!
Teachers 'hanging out' in Google Meet
During every scheduled class in the timetable, teachers will be available in the Classroom Google Meet.
Drop in to the Meet anytime during the class if you have questions or want some one-on-one time with the teacher.
Attendance questions
Complete the attendance questions on Google Classroom during every class you would normally have.
This helps us keep the roll accurate.
