Ph.D. Position:

We are always on the look out for highly motivated, and enthusiastic students who want to pursue a Ph.D. in Organic Synthesis.

IISER Tirupati admits Ph.D. students both in summer and winter sessions. Students who have their own fellowships like CSIR/UGC JRF are encouraged to apply in advance.

Positions through Institute Sponsored Fellowship (GATE) mode are very limited.

Postdoc Position:

There is no postdoc opening in our group at the moment

However, candidates interested in applying for NPDF (sponsored by ANRF) and other such self sponsored programs must contact Prof. P. C. Ravikumar well in advance at least 2 months ahead of the deadline. This will help in preparing a detailed project and for endorsement by IISER Authorities well ahead of time.

5th Year BS-MS Project Work/Semester Project:

BS-MS students who are interested to join our group for doing their MS project are encouraged to do a summer/winter semester project in our group during their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd years. This will give them good exposure to our research work, lab environment, and culture. They are also encouraged to do their semester project in our lab as it will give them enough time to work and evolve a good research project for their Masters thesis.

BS-MS students are strongly encouraged to go abroad for higher studies. Past students from our group are well placed in leading universities across Europe and United States of America (USA). Many masters students have ended up getting publications from our lab.

Our lab provides a lively and positive learning atmosphere for the all round development of students. Students get exposure to cutting-edge organic chemistry research as well as the professional skills needed to excel in their career.

Summer Internship and Short Term Research Work (1 - 2 months):

BSMS or MSc students who are desirous of learning the basics of experimental research in organic synthesis can join our group for a short term.

IISER BSMS students and Int. MSc/MSc students from other institutes, universities/colleges can join our group, please contact

Prof. P. C. Ravikumar (pc-ravikumar@labs.iisertirupati.ac.in) at least 3 months ahead. Usually, it is a first cum first serve basis.

Students who are from smaller places and have less exposure to research are particularly encouraged to apply to summer/winter internship

Project Position/Junior Research Fellow (under sponsored project):

Qualifications: First class in BSMS/MSc Chemistry and qualified in UGC-CSIR NET (Lecturership) or GATE
