Video 2: I learned that some stones fell, there is a stone used to sacrifice people or things, it is made with post and lintel, and it was probably an ancient calendar.
I would like to visit Stonehenge because it is a cool historical site of what our ancestors did, but I would not want to nor care to go there at 2 am to see the sunrise there.
Video 3: Jericho was is the fertile crescent and had many ancient structures buried and the ancient people buried people under their house rather in a cemetery or tomb. The bodies were buried for just long enough that the flesh would fall off and so they would take the skulls and fill them with plaster and give them a portrait with plaster. They would do the same with the bodies but the skulls are what are mainly left and it is thought they were put on display for people to come and see. And it was thought they would do this to show their generational ownership over something like land.
Video 4: Sumer is in modern day Iraq and Iran, they had many city states, they had large temples called Zigurates that were realy tall to protect it from floods. Sumerians invented the wheel, irrigation, and just many wheel systems. They had the first written language called cuneiform. They have wall drawing of stories about war and holy things and more important people were made bigger. They had little statues of someone holding their hands and they were put in a ziggurate which would pray for them for a longer life.
Video 5: Build over 4500 years ago when there was only copper tools. There are many conspiracies that aliens made the pyramids. It was believed the people who made the pyramids were slaves but the builders were given honorable burials so there is no way slaves were given that. Inside is made of limestone but the outside was made of granite. Granite is hard because it has quartz in it. Ramps were prabably the most likely way they moves the stones. Pyramids would have had a white outside made of white limestone with a mixed gold/silver top.
Video 6: Egypt was on the Nile River with two parts called Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. The Egyptians were highly fixated on the afterlife and would mummify people so they could reanimate in the afterlife. They had a new measurement called a cubit. They created a calendar with 24-hour days, they created a form of writing called hieroglyphics. Then a new form of writing called hieratic came from hieroglyphics. They were destroyed by the Romans and other nearby civilizations. They kept their mummies in the pyramids with many riches so in the after life they could have wealth.
Video 7: King Tut lived 1332-13 BC. Married his half sister and did realy nothing for Egypt. Most famous because he was the only intact tomb ever found and is buried in the valley of the kings. Died at a young age and his tomb was rushed. A lot of the wall art is about the book of the dead. Had 3 coffins and the 3rd coffin was solid gold and it was stuck with a residue. A lot of bad things happened to the archaeologists like houses being burned down and getting sick and dying, and suicide. I would say it could be a curse but its hard to say. But I would say if there is an ancient tomb or building with text that says you will die or be cursed, you should probably leave it alone.

5 Characteristics of Greek and Roman sculpture: Bleached structures after time of there original painted look has faded away, art of propaganda, eyes ears and nose are how you can identify who a sculpture is suppose to be, Rome copied Greek art, bronze statues. I would say Greek would be more interesting because they are the ones who started the art style that Romans used.
Video 5:
5 things I found interesting: They had a very large political power compared to many other nations, Julius Caesar was elected in to the government but ended up becoming a dictator, they grew so large they were all the way around the Mediterranean, they had a 50,000 mile long road system, they involved cultural aspects of nations they conquered/ were apart of, and they adopted the Greek art aspect and created all of their art based off of Greek art.
Video#6:
St. Vittale: Justinian and his Attendance symbolizing the Emperor, Church, and Military. Empress Theodora both were mosaics made of tiny pieces of glass to show their power to the people. Their dresses were very beautiful.
Notre Dame: Very historically and politically significant, and held what is believed to be Jesuses crown of thorns.
Video #7:
Gothic Pieta vs Michelangelo Pieta: The Gothic is very gruesome and dark. It is full of emotions when Mary is usually represented with no emotions. Michelangelo Pieta is a lot like Madonna and Child with little emotions and very holy. Michelangelo had to make a very holy and large Pieta. It is full of detail with his veins and ribs showing, and just the knowledge of the human anatomy. Mary is very large while Jesus is smaller making it show how she could be heard saying not my child.
Video #8:
Michelangelo vs Bernini´s David: Michelangelo´s David is a classical statue with Greek inspiration, he has contropasto, and you can see every little vein and muscle. Bernini´s David is clothed and is in a state of motion ready to launch the rock in his sling at Goliath, you can see his face getting ready to do so and it makes itself feel very human. Both are great and inspirational of David's victory
