Information on Poster & Open Discussion @Gather Town

Gather Town provides a virtual space where attendees (their avatar) gather, chat, and discuss. You can choose whether you give a presentation there in Registration. You can modify your answer until October 15th. If your final answer is "yes," then your name and the presentation title will be displayed in the list of Speakers.

You can use various materials (electronic files) for your presentation, e.g., a poster, presentation slides, etc. If your file format is .png, .jpg, or .pdf (less than 3MB), you can put it in the virtual space as an object, like a poster shown on a board in an actual poster presentation. Others can see your materials even when you are not there, allowing you to leave your place to see other presentations. Note that you cannot put materials such as .pptx and movies as an object in the virtual space. Using these formats, you can start a conversation when you and others are close enough in the virtual space. Then, you can share your PC screen for your presentation (as in zoom).

If you have any questions about the presentations at Gather Town, please email ws-kinetic(at)googlegroups.com.
