Professor
Jihoon Kim
Jihoon Kim (Member, IEEE) received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 2003 and 2017. From 2017 to 2020, he was with Samsung Electronics Company Ltd., Suwon, Korea, where he was involved in the development of 5G millimeter wave systems and sub-6GHz power amplifier components for mobile applications. From 2020 to 2023, he served as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Pai Chai University, Daejeon, Korea. In 2023, he joined the faculty of the School of Electronics Engineering, Kyonggi University, Suwon, Korea, where he is currently an assistant professor. His research activities include the design of millimeter–wave integrated circuits and broadband power amplifiers using GaN, GaAs, and Si devices and the modeling of field effect transisotrs, such as GaAs pHEMTs, CMOS, and GaN HEMTs.
