Counseling Services
Individual
Individual counseling is available at the request of the student, parent, or staff member. Parent permission is required prior to a series of planned sessions.
Topics of concern may include, but are not limited to: friendship, grief, anger management, anxiety, and family changes.
Small Groups
The small group setting provides a place for students to talk about their feelings and concerns. Parent permission is required for students to participate in a small group.
Some examples of small groups that may be offered are:
- Anger Management
- Changing Families (divorce/separation)
- Friendship (social skills)
- Grief and Loss
Classroom:
School counselors serve ALL students through school counseling classroom lessons that are based on academic, career, and social/emotional standards.
Topics may include, but are not limited to: positive school behaviors, diversity, character education, and career exploration.
