WHAT IS THE KVCS PTO?
This one is easy. The KVCS Parent Teacher Organization is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to support the students and staff of Kings Valley Charter School in their mission to provide academic excellence for all students! Preferably while having fun and creating relationships with parents, staff, and community members. We do this predominantly by fundraising to help provide the school with items and/or activities that enrich the learning experience. Previously, we’ve helped provide funds for school supplies, gardening supplies, cafeteria tables, etc.
WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?
The membership of the PTO shall be open to all adult family, teachers, staff, and community members.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Easy peasy! All you need to do is complete the membership form!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE VOTE?
A member is able to vote once they have completed a membership form and have attended two of the last four PTO Meetings.
WHEN ARE THE MEETINGS?
Currently the meetings are set for the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6pm.
WHERE ARE THE MEETINGS?
Currently, we meet in the deli seating area of the Roth's Fresh Market in Monmouth, OR. Historically, we have meet in a variety of places including homes, restaurants, community centers, and more throughout Dallas, Philomath, Albany, Corvallis, Monmouth, and Independence. Where we meet is based on our current active membership and what works for them. Can't meet us at Roth's? Join the meeting online (the meeting link gets posted to Parent Square and Facebook), or let us know if a different meeting place would work better for you.
CAN I BE INVOLVED WITHOUT GOING TO MEETINGS?
Absolutely! Meetings are not a requirement (unless you want to vote). We can use help for all sorts of different things. Small projects and big! The more volunteers we have, the easier it is for everyone to support our school community!!
WHO IS ON THE PTO BOARD?
Meet your current board officers here. We are a fun and welcoming group, and we would love to have you join us!
We welcome all KVCS community members from all walks of life. Our goal is happy (not overwhelmed) volunteers, and a supported school community.
