How much credit can I earn with my project?
Anywhere from a small fraction of a credit to a full credit.
What if my project isn't approved by my committee?
This is a real risk. The best way to ensure approval is to work closely with your project advisor and attend all meetings.
What if I am denied credit for my project after I complete it?
This is also a real risk. If your committee and/or project advisor decide that your completed project is not suitable to earn high school credit, you may have to do additional work.
Can I spend more than one term on my project?
Yes. At this time (2019), projects that last up to four full terms are being considered.
Which teacher should I ask to be my project advisor?
Be as choosy as possible. Make sure your advisor has time, expertise and interest in what you want to do. You must also find a teacher who is certified to award credit in your subject. See the
Project Advisors tab for more information.
I can't find a teacher who will be my project advisor. What's going on?
Your project idea may be too vague, not suitable for credit, or involve a subject that requires a teacher certification that the school does not possess. The teacher you want/need may also be too busy this term. Consider trying again next term.
