KUMUNITY TEAMS RULES AND REGULATIONS
Official Team Guidelines
Please follow these guidelines. Your official team account activity is subject for review and can be recommended for removal IF you or any of your team member/s violate any/all of the guidelines listed below.
I. Official Kumunity Teams
(I.1) Minimum of 10 active members on the team’s official roster.
(I.2) The team will decide who will be the Official Representative of the group. That person will be the one to be added on all the official chat groups for all official announcements for kumunity teams.
(I.3) The team will decide for their own Team Name. The team name should have no copyright nor being used by any known group of people. The group will need to present proof of their identity if they claim that they are the same group.
(I.4) Upon application to be an Official Kumunity Team, the provided Team Account must not have an existing badge higher than the Featured badge, and the Team Account must be newly created as much as possible.
(I.5) Team Logo should be an original design, using photos from any website are strictly prohibited. Please be advised that pursuant to federal law, you may be held liable for damages if you make any material misrepresentations.
a. Team Logo can only be used by the official members of the team on (but not limited to) their display pictures, livestream cover photo and posts. Any non-member who uses the team logo without the permission from the team, the team leader or members may submit a report to KUMU via: kumufamilies@kumu.ph or support@kumu.ph.
b. If the user refuses to remove the logo upon request, this will be reviewed as a case of copyright infringement, a corresponding penalty shall be imposed. Report should indicate the username of the non-member and a screenshot of the violation for documentation purposes.
II. Team Organization
(II.1) The Team Leader is decided upon application. The members may elect one leader or representative from their roster who will represent the team on all kumunity team events such as election, challenges and meetings.
(II.2) After the approval of the team, the team can start recruitment of additional members. The team will assign who will be in charge of screening the members/s applying in the team. This is to ensure that members are legitimate and to enable team leaders to establish accountability when and if needed.
(II.3) Only the official or main account of the user will be accepted in the roster/teams. Dummy accounts are not accepted/counted as official members.
(II.4) Team leaders should seek the members permission if asking for personal details and document this information, in compliance with the Data Privacy Policy of Kumu and the Data Privacy Act.
Validation may include asking the members to provide any or all of the following:
Full Name
Social Media Account (Kumu, Facebook, IG, Whatsapp, Discord,etc.
Contact Details (email address,mobile/landline number)
Photo of any valid ID
(II.5) If in case a current member of another group wants to transfer to your team, make sure to coordinate with his/her previous team leader to avoid any conflicts. Members may leave a team at their discretion as long as there are no pending items, i.e. gcash, funds, diamonds, coins, prizes, gifts, loans, etc. owed to the team.
(II.6) A team member may be removed from the team’s official roster due to inactivity, violation of team guidelines, or by discretion of the team’s membership committee or team leader.
(II.7) A banned or locked user account shall automatically be considered as a non-member and shall be removed from the team’s roster of members by the Kumunity Team Council.
(II.8) Official Teams who allow banned user/s’ dummy accounts to stay in their team will be warned and if the warning is ignored, may be penalized accordingly when proven guilty
III. Team Issues
(III.1) As much as possible, keep away from drama. And keep the drama away from the Kumu app and Kumunity. Remember that any violation of Kumunity Guidelines may be reviewed for possible action.
(III.2) Any misunderstandings within the team should be isolated and dealt with accordingly.
(III.3) If the issue cannot be contained, the leader must get in touch and seek help from the Kumunity Teams Senate / Kumunity Council.
IV. Team Account Management
(IV.1) Upon registration, the Kumunity Team Council acknowledges the team organization and the ownership of the team but incase of issue between leaders, founding members and other members Kumunity Team Council and Senators can mediate to resolve the ownership of the team.
(IV.2) The main steward of the official team’s account is the designated team leader. He/She is responsible for ensuring the security of the team account. The Kumunity Council may assist the team in fixing team related concerns, however Kumu will not be held accountable for any incident of breach involving the team account due to account login access given by the team leader to the team members.
(IV.3) The team leader can request for major changes in the team account (i.e. team username, team logo, official team name). In the event that the designated team leader decides to leave the team, he/she must nominate/endorse another team leader. The endorsed team leader must also be approved by the majority of the members.
(IV.4) In the event that the leader has been inactive and out of reach for more than 1 month and hasn't endorsed a new leader/representative, the remaining founding members and officers can elect a new team leader. In case the team doesn’t have the officers or founding members, the current active members can do the request. They must submit the details of the newly elected leader via to the kumufamilies@kumu.ph along with the changes in the team details, if applicable.
(IV.5) Kumunity Council should be informed for any changes in the team account (i.e. team username, team logo, official team name, team leader, etc.) Requests should be made via email to kumufamilies@kumu.ph. The Kumunity Council reserves the right to disapprove any and all changes if no prior coordination was made by the team leader or designated team Representative.
(IV.6) Account passwords and access must be kept secure by the team leader. The KUMUMedia Technologies,Inc, Kumu, Inc. and Kumunity Council shall not be held liable for any breach or unauthorized access by the team members or third party users.
V. Team Funds and Wallet
(V.1) The team’s cash funds, diamonds and coins shall be considered under the care of the team’s designated leader or treasurer. The Kumunity Council shall recognize the structure of each team, and will not meddle in its internal arrangement on how the funds will be handled or distributed. However, in case of conflicts related to the division of the funds, the kumunity team council and the senators can mediate.
(V.2) The Kumunity Council may request to hold the cashout request of a team in the event that the transaction does not meet the verification requirements. Suspected unauthorized cashouts will be put on hold automatically, unless confirmed legitimate by the designated team leader.
(V.3) The Kumunity Council has the right to review and recommend removal of the team leader, member or official team account for serious violation of Kumunity Guidelines or Official Team Guidelines.
VI. Team Tier Badges
How to level up the tier badge for the Team Account
The team Featured badge and higher badges can be awarded to registered and official teams only. This is one of the perks that official teams can get for being onboarded in Kumunity Teams. Listed below are the ways to get the tier badges:
A. Standard Process for team featured badge
Register as an Official Kumu Team
Create engaging and quality stream Content.
Go live for a minimum of 30 hours a month. Livestream hours should be spread out into at least 15 unique broadcasting days. Idle streams are not counted.
No Reported Violations
Join at least 3 KumuKlash Tournaments (KKT).
B. Express Process for all badges
Register as an Official Kumu Team
Join Kumunity Teams Badge Level Up Challenge
(V.1) The Kumunity Council has the right to remove the badge status of the team account (i.e. bluecheck and bronze badge) if the requirements are not met.
The team’s badge status (i.e. blue check, bronze, silver, gold or platinum badges), is not tied to the team leader or any particular member. In the event that the team leader leaves the team, the badge status of the account will remain in the original team, unless a major violation was committed by the whole team.
VII. Violation and Abuse
(VII.1) The team and member accounts adhere to KUMU’s general guidelines and strictly follows rules on livestream content, cover photos, livestream titles and related matters
Cover Photos used on the team account livestream are provided by Kumunity Council. Use the right cover photo for the appropriate stream/event. Seasonal/special cover photos have additional requirements or expiry dates. Modifying official cover photos violate Kumunity Guidelines.
Custom Cover Photo requires approval from Kumunity Council. For your team's special events, you can submit your own custom designed cover photo for approval. Use these only for the intended event you submitted for.
When unapproved cover photos are used, the team account will be required to end the stream and re-live using one of the official cover photos.
(VII.2) DO NOT do anything illegal just to win the challenges, campaigns, giveaways, contests, etc. Your team will be REMOVED from the leaderboard (if campaigns), and will be subject for review once caught.
(VII.3) Teams who will be caught abusing referral codes shall be subject for review and possible account suspension.
(VII.4) Minor violation that doesn’t have an effect on other users such as (but not limited to) usage of wrong logo, usage of wrong cover photo, doing a for a cause without permission etc. will result in warning. Multiple warnings may result in suspension or banning of the kumunity team account and/or the user who did the violation.
(VII.5) Major violations that affect other users such as impersonation of official kumu accounts, money scam, using 3rd party tools to gain benefits in the app etc. will result in suspension or banning of the kumunity team account and/or the user who did the violation.
VIII. Inactive Accounts
If a team account is determined to be inactive for an extended period of time (six months to one year inactivity), Kumu may dissolve the team without notice. Inactivity is based on log in activity.
Terms and Conditions
KUMUMedia Technologies, Inc and Kumu, Inc reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or revise these Terms at any time and you agree to be bound by such modifications or revisions. Users are responsible for periodically viewing the Terms. If you do not agree to the Terms, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE APP and may discontinue your use of the Service; cancel any accounts you have made using the Service.
KUMUMedia Technologies, Inc and Kumu, Inc reserves the right to issue you a warning or immediately terminate or suspend any or all accounts you have created using the Service if you violate the Terms. Kumu also reserves the right to decline or refuse any user access to the Services without notice for any reason, including, but not limited to, a violation of the Terms.
