SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
We are open for proposals for papers on any aspect of Linguistics and Literary Studies. Possible topics cover, but are not limited to the following areas:
qualitative and quantitative methods in linguistic research;
the interplay between theory and practice in both linguistics and translation studies;
interdisciplinary approaches to linguistics;
discourse and its cultural framework;
current needs, dilemmas and challenges of linguistic typology, contrastive studies, socio- and psycholinguistics, language acquisition and learning, and translation studies.
Other than above, we may discuss different language issues, including but not limited to: variation, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, phonetics, phonology, morphology, historical linguistics, psycholinguistics, semantics, and syntax.
Proposals in other relevant research areas are also welcome.
Papers: 20 minutes duration in a 30 minute session, to allow discussion.
Language of presentation: English, Polish, or Ukrainian.
