VISA EXTENSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Step 1
Preparation of doctuments required
Photo (passport size or 2 inchs)
Copy of Passport (every pages revelant to Thailand)
Copy of Departure card (TM.6)
Copy of TM30 (To obtain this form, students must contact the Faculty's staff on the first day arrival at KU.)
Copy of Student Card
Copy of Letter of Accepatance from GS
Certificate of Student Status from GS
Copy of Scholarship Letter (If any)
Copy of Tuition Fee Payment Receipt (KU2) (If any)
Copy of Transcript (print out from KU regis system)
Step 2
Submit all documents to faculty's staff at least 1 month before VISA expiration.
The official letter to Immigration Office will be issued by 2 weeks.
An appointment to immigration office will be made after the document as no.2 completed.
Visa Extension Fee : 1,900 baht
Non-Immigrant ED Visa can be extened in maximum 1 year
Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days (90 days report)
Every 90 days, all international students are required to submit the document for 90 Days Report to Immigration Bureau. The original passport need to be submitted to faculty's staff at least 15 days before the due date of 90 days report.
Note
The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is in no way equivalent to a visa extension.
If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 5,000.- Baht.
If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.
Re-Entry Permit
If you have a plan to travel outside Thailand, re-entry permit is required.
