We study the genetic makeup of crops and livestock to improve productivity, disease resistance, and environmental adaptability. We apply advanced genomic tools and bioinformatics to identify genes responsible for desirable traits, enabling precise breeding, genetic modification, and sustainable agriculture practices. Our objective is to enhance food security, crop yield, and resilience to climate change.
Our activity on "Genomics for plant breeding" under the Hub of Knowledge in Modern Agricultural Science for High-Value Crops program (ศูนย์กลางความรู้ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์เกษตรสมัยใหม่สำหรับผลผลิตการเกษตรมูลค่าสูง).

We study parthenocarpy in cherry tomatoes by integrating transcriptome and whole-genome sequencing (WGS) analysis to identify and develop molecular markers for locating associated genes within the developed population. This research led to the publication of the article titled 'Genome-Wide Variation Analysis and ARF19B Marker Development for Parthenocarpy in Tomato Cultivar ‘CH 154’'. Our work was published in 2025.
We identified the ARF19B gene as a key driver for parthenocarpy (seedless fruit) in ‘CH 154’ tomatoes under heat stress. By developing two high-precision SNP markers via tetra-primer ARMS-PCR, the team achieved 100% accuracy in genotype discrimination. This breakthrough provides a robust MAS tool for breeding heat-resilient, seedless tomato varieties for the future.
Our research participated in the 22nd National Horticultural Conference in the titled “Gene Expression Analysis in Tomato to Reveal Key Biological Pathways Associated with Conditional Parthenocarpy,” which provides deep insights into the molecular mechanisms behind seedless fruit development under specific conditions.
