Course Purpose, Goals, and Objectives

This is a course designed to acquaint the student with basic chemical laws without the emphasis on abstract theoretical or mathematics concepts. Units on applied chemistry will show students how chemistry is applied in their lives. This course is recommended for students who are interested in the following technical careers: automotive, environmental, and health fields such as dental lab, respiratory therapy, and medical lab.

Consumer Chemistry can be used for the third year of science credit.
