Welcome to my academic and professional profile.
I hold a Ph.D. in General Psychology from Tehran Science and Research University (2016) and an M.A. in General Psychology from Imam Khomeini International University (2010). My research focuses on anxiety disorders and related conditions, informed by sustained engagement with the psychological challenges of conflict-affected and transitional settings in the Middle East. Over the course of my academic career, I have published several scholarly articles in reputable international journals.
With over 18 years of teaching experience across multiple universities in Iran and Iraq, I currently serve as the Director of the Counseling Center at Kurdistan Technical Institute (KTI). In this role, I lead the development and delivery of structured, student-centered mental health services. I also lecture across different departments at KTI, contributing to interdisciplinary education in mental health and psychological well-being.I was also involved in establishing and developing the Consulting and Psychological Services Center at the University of Garmian (2014), further contributing to the expansion of institutional mental health services in the region.
In addition, I bring more than 20 years of clinical experience in various areas of mental health practice. My clinical and academic work are closely integrated, allowing me to translate evidence-based approaches into practical, context-sensitive interventions.
My academic and professional expertise includes psychological education, clinical practice, research supervision, and the design and implementation of innovative mental health services, particularly in low-resource and humanitarian contexts.
I remain committed to advancing mental health awareness, strengthening evidence-based practice, and supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.
