What Is Interior Architecture?

Blending elements of interior design and architecture, interior architecture focuses on the structure of a space’s interior. Elements like the placement of doors and windows and ventilation are key to this discipline. While not always the case, interior architects often focus more on adaptable reuse, which involves redesigning the interior of an existing structure for a new, modern use, such as transforming an office building into apartments.

Like an architect, an interior architect must understand the art of design and science in architecture as it relates to structural considerations. However, an interior architect also takes on some interior design elements in their practice, such as lighting, lighted mirrors, textures, and colors within a space. They may even partner with an interior designer to create a cohesive result.

Both require creative problem-solving and knowledge of styles and forms but apply these skills in very different ways. An interior designer may work in collaboration with an architect to determine how furniture, cabinetry, and other parts of a room are laid out, and how that layout may affect their design and use of textiles and artwork.

الحرب والعمارة — علاقة معقدة وعميقة جداً. الحرب تُدمّر وتبني في آنٍ واحد؛ فهي تمحو مدناً وتُولد أساليب معمارية جديدة.

يواجه البشر العديد من الكوارث سواء الطبيعية منها أو التي من صنع الإنسان والتي تدمر أو تُحدث خللًا بحياة الإنسان ومجتمعه والوسط الذي يعيش به، وإن كان البشر غير قادرين على الصمود أمام تلك الكوارث فإنهم بدورهم يحاولون مقاومتها أو التقليل من آثارها بوسائل عدة كانت العمارة من أهمها على مدار التاريخ.

قبة هيروشيما – اليابان

Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Genbaku Dome)

هذا المبنى هو أحد المباني القليلة التي بقيت واقفة بعد القنبلة الذرية في Hiroshima عام 1945 خلال World War II.
اليوم تُرك المبنى كأطلال متعمّدة ليكون رمزاً لقوة الدمار التي يمكن أن تصنعها الحروب، وأيضاً رمزاً للأمل في السلام.

مكتبة سراييفو – البوسنة

Vijećnica – Sarajevo

خلال حرب البوسنة في التسعينات أُحرقت المكتبة الوطنية، وضاعت آلاف الكتب والمخطوطات. إعادة إعمارها لاحقاً لم تكن مجرد مشروع معماري، بل إحياء لذاكرة ثقافية كاملة.

الموصل بعد الحرب على داعش

Mosul

دمار المدينة القديمة في الموصل أظهر كيف يمكن للحرب أن تمحو قروناً من العمارة خلال سنوات قليلة. اليوم تحاول مشاريع إعادة الإعمار إعادة بناء التراث المعماري للمدينة.

الخلاصة :

العمارة في زمن الحرب تمر بثلاث مراحل:

.1الدمار – عندما تتحول المباني إلى أنقاض.

.2الذاكرة – عندما تُترك بعض الأطلال لتذكير الأجيال بما حدث.

.3إعادة البناء – عندما يصبح المعماري جزءاً من إعادة تشكيل المدينة والحياة.

لذلك يمكن القول إن المباني ليست حجارة فقط…
بل ذاكرة مدينة كاملة.
