KHS KIND Club
KIND (Kearney Inclusion and Diversity) club is one of many opportunities for Kearney High School students to get involved in their school community. KIND was established to create a safe space for students to address issues of diversity and belonging, in order to make the KHS community a more welcoming and inclusive environment. Our door is always open to new faces!

We won the Homecoming canned food drive sculpture creation!
We watched "Rising Phoenix", a Netflix original documentary (PG-13) in December. In an effort to further our goal of diversity, equity, and inclusion we watched elite athletes and insiders reflect on the Paralympic Games and examined how they impact a global understanding of disability, diversity, and excellence.
In connection to our movie night, we teamed up with Student Council to promote a fundraiser for the Kearney Special Olympics teams at the Basketball Jam.
campus clean-up walks
mindfulness meeting where we tried different mindfulness techniques
created school spirit messages for all activities- making sure to include non-sports and those who may be flying under the radar

Congratulations on a job well done! We are so proud of the canned good sculpture you created for the Homecoming Competition. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the design idea, donated canned goods, wrapped them in paper, and helped construct the sculpture. We are so proud of your work! Winners of the canned good sculpture contest will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Assembly tomorrow- but it's already a winner in our eyes! All cans will be donated to the Kearney Food Canteen!
