Stamp must correlate with your focal image
Stencil must be neatly cut
Foam must be neatly cut and recognizable
Foam on board is secure
Complete image when stamped
Choose a shape/image (have 2 options)
Copy and Paste into a google doc
Create multiple sizes of the image in doc
Cut out shape from paper (creates a stencil)
Transfer shape to paper side of foam
Cut out using SHARP x-acto
Attach to backing (foam board)
NOTE: Design must be backwards to print forwards - See image at the top of the page for reference.
Create 3 documents
Plan Options for
Backgrounds (color fades)
Stamp Placement (pattern)
Stamp Color
Save all 3 as JPEGs
Choose a background color from planning
On a small piece of scrap fabric:
Paint entire swatch
Let Dry
Apply Paint to Stamp using sponge
Press stamp to fabric
Practice until you are happy with the result
Photograph Swatch
Paint an entire piece of fabric
When Dry:
Apply stamp using sponge technique in the pattern that you had planned in photoshop
