We are always looking for volunteers and there are lots of ways to get involved.
If you are volunteering to work with directly with students, you must be cleared through the district by annually completing their background check process. Click here if you need to do that.
Here is a list of ways you might choose to get involved:
Monthly Meetings - You are welcome to join us at our monthly meetings. They are normally held the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
Picture Day - A few volunteers help to get classes to and from the gym on picture day and assist students with last minute hair & smile fixes (we typically have picture days in the fall and spring as well as re-take days).
Special Event Coordinators & Staff - Periodically we hold family events outside of school such as Skate Nights, Movie Nights, Pastries with Parents, Bingo Nights, Dances, etc. We also partner with our school's ATP (Action Team for Partnership) on various events as well.
Staff Support & Appreciation Opportunities - We assist staff in helping find volunteers for various events and activities. We also host a few opportunities to shower the staff with appreciation throughout the school year to help encourage them and show them how grateful we are.
Book Fair & Penguin Patch Sales - Volunteers are needed to help our Librarian with our annual book fair, this sale is typically both during school and outside of school hours. The Penguin Patch is a holiday store for students. Volunteers with this sale assist students with locating items to purchase for their friends and family that align with their budgets and help to wrap the items. This sale is during school hours.
Candy Grams - Students and parents can write a note and purchase a small item to go with the note and be delivered to students in their classrooms.
Yearbook - Volunteers assist with taking pictures throughout the school year. The coordinator works to create the yearbook and keep the committee updated regarding the publication and sales of it.
