Columbia River Kids' Choice Award
The goal of the Columbia River Kid’s Choice Award is to highlight novels that are developmentally appropriate and appealing, with a variety of genres and reading levels, for 4th and 5th grade students. Third and sixth graders are welcome to participate.

3rd-5th graders who have read a minimum of two nominees are eligible to vote. Voting is done by the librarian.

*Play book advertisement trailers to promote books
*Make a video of all of the nominees and play for students to promote them.
*Give the students a list of the nominees
*Have a special place in your library for the books to promote the nominees.
*Give out bookmarks with the nominee books.
*Have students who have read the nominees make a cover for the book.
*Have students who have read the books write a "You should read this book because . . ." promotion for the books and post it with the nominees.
*Hold a voting party for students who have read 2 nominees.
