Kamehameha Schools provides meaningful educational opportunities for Native Hawaiian learners to explore their potential and develop as ‘ōiwi leaders. This summer we are excited to offer fun and enriching experiences that will allow students to engage and learn through a diverse selection of courses.

Credit courses are offered at an accelerated pace. Each day is the equivalent of approximately one-week of class instruction during the regular school year. Students who are absent more than three days will not receive credit or a grade for the course.
2024 YMCA Summer Afterschool Program
YMCA will be extending their after-school program through the summer of 2024 for students entering grades 1-6 and registered in summer school. The YMCA will be on-site from 11:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday during the summer session (June 12 - July 12). FREE Lunch will be provided by Hālau Kūkalaulama. Country Bus Service
Students residing in the Leeward, Windward, North Shore and Hawaiʻi Kai areas may request bus transportation service. Seats are limited. To request bus service, please complete the transportation section on the online application form.
Bus Fees are $150.00 one-way or $300.00 round trip.
Buses pick up and drop off students at the bus stops listed below. NO ROUTE CHANGES, ALTERATIONS OR COURTESY STOPS ARE ALLOWED FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OUR HAUMĀNA.

Shuttle Bus/Terminal Service
Grades 1-4
There will be no shuttle bus/terminal service for students in grades 1-4. Summer 2024 students not registered for country bus service will need to be dropped off and picked up before and after classes. Drop-off supervision begins at 6:45 a.m. Car pick-up begins at 11:45 a.m.
Grades 5-12
Students in grades 7-12 may be dropped off at the terminal and will be shuttled up to campus and dropped off at designated shuttle points for their grade level.

Cyber Camp 2024
Kamehameha Hawaiʻi Middle and High School students entering grades 6-12 in the Fall can now sign-up for a free, one-week CyberCamp course offered through our Kauluhala Summer Academy.
The AFA CyberCamp program is designed to excite students new to cybersecurity about STEM career opportunities and teach them important cyber defense skills through hands-on instruction and activities.
Through the camp, students will learn how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats, as well as how to harden entire networks running Windows 10 and Ubuntu operating systems.
The AFA CyberCamp will culminate in an exciting final team competition that simulates real cybersecurity situations faced by industry professionals and mimics AFA’s CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition.
To sign-up, students should complete the camp application form by Monday, July 8, 2024.
The camp will take place here on campus from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. The middle school session will take place from 8 a.m. to Noon each day, while the high school session is offered between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. Both middle and high school sessions are intended for beginners.
CyberCamp is FREE. But spaces are limited and will be filled first-come, first-serve, so don't delay in signing up.
All students receive camp instruction materials and CyberCamp t-shirt.

Policy to Give Preference to Hawaiian Applicants
Kamehameha Schools’ policy on admissions is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law. If you would like to be considered under that policy, your Hawaiian ancestry must be verified by Kamehameha’s Ho‘oulu Verification Services. Please work directly with the Ho‘oulu Verification Services staff to complete your ancestry determination as soon as possible and preferably no later than the application deadline for the program to which you are applying.

Parents and students grades 9-12 will have access to a registration form in Infinite Campus. Forms will only be made available during the scheduled registration period.

PLEASE NOTE:
Current KS students are given priority and offered advanced registration via Infinite Campus. Enrollment for non-KS students is based on the date your child’s application is submitted, and grade level/course availability. An incomplete application will delay your child’s enrollment. Course closures could occur during the timeframe in which your child’s application remains incomplete.
KS reserves the right to cancel any class should enrollment fall below 15 students.

Conditional invite letters will be sent via email in early April. Please read the email thoroughly. There are two steps required to confirm your enrollment in summer school.
STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A NON-KS SCHOOL (DOE/CHARTER/OTHER PRIVATE)
Required Steps:
Sign Enrollment Agreement online in Infinite Campus. Due by the date indicated on your invite letter.
Step 1:
Create a KS Account (If you have another child who attends a KS School, you likely already have a KS Account) to gain access to the ʻOhana Portal. (Ohana Portal | Kamehameha Schools (ksbe.edu) )
Step 2:
In the ʻOhana Portal, log into Infinite Campus and sign the Enrollment Agreement form.
Step 3:
You will be notified if you need to complete this step. Upload necessary health documents to our Electronic Health Records system in the ʻOhana Portal.
My FACTS account is not showing a balance regarding summer school, what should I do?

Log into the ʻOhana Portal, then log into Infinite Campus to sign the Enrollment Agreement form.

You will be notified if you need to complete this step. Upload necessary health documents to our Electronic Health Records system in the ‘Ohana Portal.
Make a payment in FACTS
Step 1:
Look for your invoice that will be sent via email. Please check all emails you provided. The email may NOT go to the payer established for your regular school year tuition.
Step 2:
Follow the link to your FACTS online invoice and make a payment. You may pay by credit card (fees apply) or by electronic check.
If your child requires a special accommodation to attend summer school, please review the KSK Summer School ADA flyer and complete the process as described. Documentation should be received within 10 business days of receipt of the invite email. Handbooks will no longer be mailed. The handbook will be made available by April 2024 on this page.
Summer School Course Change or Withdrawal Form
Once registration has been completed, the following penalty fees will be assessed for course withdrawals:
PAYMENT- ALL STUDENTS
In April all registered students will receive a confirmation letter with payment instructions. Payment must be made through FACTS by Friday, April 26, 2024. Payment may be made from a savings or checking account. Credit cards are accepted and will be charged a service fee. A $30 processing fee will be charged for any payment returned by the bank or financial institution. No payments will be accepted at the Summer School Office, or by phone.
