I am aware that certain assignments may require the use of the internet, and am aware that I should do my part to help keep my child safe while using the internet. Should my child require internet access at home, I am aware that I should:
Set reasonable rules and guidelines for these online assignments.
Have a conversation with my child about the expectations of his/her use of the iPad and check his/her use.
Have an open and honest discussion with my child if he/she informs me about something inappropriate he/she finds on the internet.
I understand that my child should use the iPad in a family area rather than in his/her bedroom.
If I am concerned about the use of the iPad at home, I should contact my child’s teacher.
Please refer to “KS Technology Acceptable Use” on pages (44-45) in our 2026-2027 Ke Kula 'o Kamehameha Haumāna and 'Ohana Handbook for further details regarding acceptable use.
