Meet Kumu Jaymie

Welina mai kākou! ‘O Jaymie Kanani Waiohu ko’u inoa. No Maui mai au. ‘O Mauna Kahālāwai ku’u mauna. My name is Jaymie Kanani Waiohu, you can call me Kumu Jaymie. I am from Waikapū, Maui. I was born and raised here on Maui and am a proud alum of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama. I received my undergraduate degree from UH West Oahu and my Master’s Degree from UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business. Prior to coming on board as a Transition Specialist for Kamehameha Maui College and Career, I was an academic advisor at UH Maui College for 12 years. It’s truly fulfilling to help students reach their college and career goals and I look forward to supporting you on your postsecondary journey.
