Who can attend study hall sessions?

All students are welcome to visit the Holopono Academic Success Center and attend study hall sessions. 

What study hall sessions are available to students?

Students can access study hall sessions during Hōʻola, first lunch, Kūkoa, and after-school throughout the school week. 

Where is study hall located?

Study hall is held in the Kekuʻiapoiwa Learning Center during Hōʻola, first lunch, and Kūkoa. After-school study hall sessions will be held on the mauka side of Keawe Dining Hall. 

What courses can haumāna receive tutoring in?

Haumāna can receive tutoring in all Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi Kula Kiʻekiʻe courses offered. 

Who can schedule tutoring sessions?

Parents, kumu, and haumāna are able to schedule in-class and after-school tutoring sessions through the provided links on the homepage of the Holopono Academic Success Center website.

When can you schedule tutoring sessions?

Tutoring sessions can be scheduled with the Holopono Academic Success Center up to three (3) days in advance. 

Please schedule an appointment with the Nāpua Peer Tutorial Program 48-hours before desired session to ensure the highest likelihood of securing a tutor's support. 

Can haumāna reschedule tutoring sessions? 

If haumāna are unable to attend their scheduled tutoring session, they may reschedule by emailing Mr. Smith through his contact information provided below. 

What resources are available to haumāna?

Peer tutors, academic planning worksheets, and private study spaces are made available to students during all study hall sessions.  

What support do peer tutors offer to haumāna?

Peer tutors can help haumāna work through homework problems, review various course materials, and beat procrastination.

How can haumāna advocate for themselves? 

Haumāna can discuss potential changes regarding their tutoring sessions with Mr. Smith to better suit their needs.
