Welcome to 8th grade science! I am excited to take you on your journey through 8th grade! My name is Mrs. Kaitlin Kurtz and I will be teaching science. I am looking forward to a productive and successful school year. Not only am I very excited to start back at school but I am very excited to meet you as well. I strongly believe that each of you have the ability to succeed. I am ALWAYS around for extra help!! Please come in for lunch, stay after school or come before school if you need the help. Do not ever feel embarrassed to ask for help.
Meet Your Teacher!
I am a graduate of the University of Delaware, highly qualified to teach both elementary education and middle level science with a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. While in college I had many activities that I kept myself busy with. I always loved community service but I also have a strong love for sports! I was the equipment manager for the University of Delaware’s Football team and was a member of a Tri-state dodgeball championship team! :) LET’S GO HENS! I am originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania! Home to the Eagles Training Camp, Crayola Crayons and Just Born Candies. Some things that I like to do in my spare time include spending time with my family, playing sports and sightseeing! While an undergrad, I had the opportunity to study abroad and enjoy the sights of Hawaii! In addition to taking college courses, I also had the opportunity to teach college students the last couple of years at UD! I am looking forward to an exciting new adventure as my 13th school year awaits us!
