Early Urban Development and Demand for Education
Dali Township, Taichung, experienced rapid population growth due to urban planning and industrial development, leading to a demand for education.
Residents' desire for a local school led to the approval by Taichung County Magistrate Liao Li-yi.
School Establishment
1988: Huang Min-xiong, principal of Dali Junior High, was appointed as preparatory director for the new school.
1990: Taiwan Provincial Government approved the name "Taichung County Guangrong Junior High School." The school officially opened on August 1, 1990, with Huang as the first principal.
Principal Leadership and Development
1990: Lin Song became the second principal, fostering respect and balanced education.
2006: Yang Zhi-cheng became the third principal, continuing prior efforts.
2007: Yang Bao-wang became the fourth principal, promoting a humanistic approach, improving facilities, and innovating curriculum.
Municipal Upgrade
2010: Taichung County's upgrade to a municipality led to the school's renaming as "Taichung Municipal Kuangrong Junior High School."
Further Leadership and Cultural Initiatives
2013: Lin Yong-ji became the fifth principal, introducing the slogan "I Love Guangrong - I Love KR," emphasizing humanistic and holistic education.
2018: Huang Gui-lian became the sixth principal, promoting the "BLISS" concept, fostering respect, leadership, individual importance, aesthetic environment, and talent development.
Current Administration and Vision
2021: Zhang Mei-feng became the seventh principal, emphasizing democratic management, transparent communication, curriculum development, and community engagement. The school aims to provide holistic education and a harmonious campus environment, making students proud of their school.
