Newborn Intensive Care Units (NICUs) are stressful for both premature babies and new parents. Hanging wires, staff shortage, and a lack of skin-to-skin contact hours makes it difficult for parents to spend time with their babies. This can lead to compromised growth, extended hospital stay, higher costs, and increased morbidity and mortality rates.

Clinical Evidence - Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is skin-to-skin contact with the mother, and baby lying face down on mother or family members chest and this practice is crucial for the physical and emotional growth of the premature baby. This evidence-based practice is beneficial for babies who weigh less than 2 kilograms(4.4 pounds) and should be practiced minimum for 8 hours to reap maximum benefits. Sadly, the problem is that there is currently no tracking mechanism for hours of KMC contact. (Learn More)

About Us - KRIASH solves the low adherence of maternal and child bond. We are a strong team with the same passion for social impact. Our aim is to create a safe and healthy environment for mothers and babies by improving quality of life and reducing disease burden. We are introducing ‘Mama Cuddles’ a non-invasive medical device. Kriash's device is a wireless band and patch that enables mothers improved bond time and provides real-time vitals monitoring for healthcare professionals. (Learn More)

Product - Kriash's device enables a stress-free environment in the NICU where, mothers can spend quality time with their babies without worrying about monitoring wires. When the baby is heamodynemically stable we can put the baby on mother/parents chest for KMC. The data of the contact hours and important vitals are collected and displayed on the bedside dashboard, app, and central nursing station. Any unstable measures will get highlighted so immediate action can be taken.  (Learn More)
