Every student has a unique path. Longhorn Pathways helps you discover your strengths, set meaningful goals, and create a plan for your future.
Longhorn Pathways is Kimball Jr./Sr. High School's advisor program for every student in grades 7–12. Throughout the school year, students meet regularly with a small group of classmates and a trusted advisor to build relationships, set goals, monitor progress, and prepare for life after high school.
Every student has an Individual Student Plan (ISP) that grows with them each year. Together, students, families, advisors, and teachers work as a team to help every student discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and prepare for future success.
Students are placed in advisor groups of 8–10 students and meet monthly throughout the school year.
Every student has a personalized plan that includes goals, strengths, interests, and future aspirations.
Each meeting includes:
Community building
Goal-focused activities
Time with your advisor
Progress check-ins
Students explore careers, college, military service, skilled trades, scholarships, financial literacy, and other opportunities through Longhorn Pathways and Level All.
Families are important partners in Longhorn Pathways. Parents and guardians are encouraged to complete the student intake form, discuss goals with their student, and stay involved as Individual Student Plans grow throughout the year.
