Achievement Gap in Education

The "achievement gap" in education refers to the disparity in academic performance between groups of students. The achievement gap shows up in grades, standardized test scores, dropout rates and other success measures.


Interventions / Programs to Address Student Achievement:

  • ELA- Sheltered Instruction, Tiered System of Support (LLI), Writer's Workshop, Guided Reading
  • Math- Sheltered Instruction, Push-in Intervention Teacher, IXL

You can also look at the colored bars, the goal is to minimize the red, orange and yellow from year to year. This means that more students are achieving proficiency.
