pupils will be learning how to write a manifesto to persuade people to vote for them to become a School Councillor.
pupils will also attempt to write poetry using figurative language, using similes and metaphors.

pupils will be learning how to write a report based on our history topic, 'The Shang Dynasty'.
Spring 1 - Mystery Stories (Part 1)
pupils will be learning how to write a mystery story, focussing on good character descriptions.
Spring 2 - Mystery Stories (Part 2)
pupils will be learning how to write a mystery story, focusing on good descriptions of settings.
Summer 1 - Diary Writing
pupils will be learning how to write in an informal style for a diary, based on the first novel in the 'Spiderwick Chronicles' series.
Summer 2- 'Slow' Writing
pupils will be learning 'Slow' writing. This is where you focus on just a small part of your work, such as a paragraph and you try to pack in lots of different ideas, such as different punctuation, a short sentence or a simile.
