1. The European Endowment for Democracy - Grants
The European Endowment for Democracy Will Assist: pro-democratic civil society Organizations, movements and individual activists acting in favor of a pluralistic multiparty system regardless of size or Their formal status. The EED Will Also provide assistance to young leaders, independent media and Journalists, That all the Beneficiaries provided adhere to core democratic values and human rights as well as subscribe to Principles of non-violence.

What initiatives do we support?
EED’s mandate is “to foster and encourage democratization, and deep and sustainable democracy” in countries facing democratic transitions or democracy deficits in the EU Neighborhood region and beyond.

Human Rights, International Affairs, Politics & Society
EED predominantly works in the EU neighbourhood. The countries eligible for EED support in the eastern neighbourhood are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. The countries in the southern neighbourhood are Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco, the occupied Palestinian territories, Syria, and Tunisia.
Since 2015 EED also accepts requests for support from Bahrain, Chad, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.
It is not a requirement to be located in one of these countries, but in general the proposed activities should have a strong involvement of actors from the countries covered by EED and target the populations in those countries.
Fully Funded
The support provided by EED CAN Vary in size and duration. However normally average grants range between €10,000 and €150,000.

2. Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders was established in 2003 to reward exceptional entrepreneurs within the entire nation. For the past few years, the SME sector's best minds have been distinguished with this prestigious award, recognising their contributions to the city's entrepreneurial community and their respective industries. The award also recognizes individuals and organizations who have aided the development of entrepreneurs across the UAE.
In a continuation of the success and achievements of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for the development of small and medium enterprises in promoting Dubai as a global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, the establishment launched in 2003, Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders.
The Awrad, the first of its kind in the region, reflects the establishment goals to support the development of small and medium enterprises sector and provide an ideal opportunity for young, ambitious and determined yought that aspire to be prominent businessmen on the local as well as global stage. This comes as part of the establishment strategy support the young owners of creative ideas and turn them into leading projects.
The Award, which joined Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in 2015, is supporting Dubai Strategic Plan 2021, through the encouragements of the younger generation to innovate and promote a culture of entrepreneurs. This is done by providing an ideal environment that is attractive to the owners of creative ideas in order to translate their aspirations into future projects that lead to enhancing businesses in the UAE and the Arab world.
Also, the Award participate in adopting programs and policies designed to stimulate, encourage and adopt innovative business models that raise productivity of small and medium sized companies that will contribute to the growth of a competitive knowledge-based economy aligned with the UAE vision 2021.
The Award reflects the aspirations of the wise leadership and their permanent quest to promote young Emirati roles, particularly in small and medium enterprise sectors, as they are key supporters of the national economy and to achieve successes in various economic and social fields to enhance their contribution to this vital sector.
The Award has special important and receive continuous support from the local and federal government institutions and major corporates through their support to the growth of SME’s and its role in the UAE economy and strengthening its position as an entrepreneurial and an economic hub.

The “ATF Youth Program” is a unique visionary, inspiring, and generous and keen to count Youth without distinction as privileged players in our societies. It consists of series of unique and continuous effort all along the year; strengthen by a methodology based on coexistence, tolerance, creativity and open environment for challenging discussions.
