Safety Education Course Description:

This course is designed to build on safety awareness and drug awareness concepts. Students will learn how to conduct safety observations, how to approach incorrect behavior, and how to guide themselves in learning safe practices. This course is also designed to provide a historical background and understanding of the origins of drug use as well as current information about the use and abuse of common legal and illegal drugs. Content will also center on drug tolerance, withdrawal, medical uses and the effects drugs have on the human body.
