Course Description
World History is a required course that explores key events and global historical developments since the 15th century that have shaped the world we live in today. This course will encompass all aspects of human history: military conflict, literature, arts, politics & law, religion, philosophy, science and economics. As a class, we will examine connections between our lives and those of our ancestors. Students will develop their ability to read for comprehension and critical analysis, summarize, categorize, compare & evaluate information; write clearly and convincingly; and use technology to present information.
Daily Block Schedule
First Block- begins at 7:54 and ends at 9:24
Second Block-Prep Period
Third Block- begins at 11:00 and ends at 12:57
Fourth Block- begins at 1:00 and ends at 2:30

Personal Information
My name is Scott Blaylock. I have been teaching in the Kosciusko School District for over 25 years. I was born and raised in nearby Holmes County and have lived in Kosciusko for almost 20 years. I attended college at Holmes Community College, Delta State University and Mississippi State University. Since I began working in the district, I have taught numerous subjects, including World History, Sociology, Psychology, American Democracy, and Special Education. For the past several years I have taught 9th grade World History at the high school level.
