These days, people seem to care only number of papers published and their impact factors as the sole important indicators of the quality of one's scientific research, unfortunately. How could that to be true in HEP? I claim that is far from being true and this stupidness is killing ourselves. The true evaluation should come from letters by internationally recognized scientists in one's field of research. There is indeed recommendation from ECFA on this.
