Konza Speech currently only accepts private pay clients; however, we can provide a superbill. A superbill is a document that details therapy services and is used to request reimbursement from an insurance company. Reimbursement will depend on your insurance company's out of network benefits and is not guaranteed.

Currently, all sessions are offered via teletherapy. Sessions styles vary based on client needs. For young children, sessions may be directly with the child or with the parents. For school aged-children through adults, sessions may include conversations regarding stuttering, opportunities to practice communication skills, or play-based learning.
While some children who begin stuttering may grow out of it at a young age, the "wait and see" approach to stuttering is an outdated practice. It is best to seek an evaluation and determine with the speech therapist if starting therapy is best for your child. Konza speech is equipped to provide services to young children and their families that can help communication be easier and more comfortable regardless if the stuttering persists or remediates.
Many people find that stuttering and how stuttering impacts them changes over the course of their life. It's normal to stop or start therapy over time. Many adults also find that stuttering therapy has changed significantly from what they received as a child. Stuttering therapy used to focus on total elimination of stuttering - an unrealistic and defeating goal for those with a life-long stuttering disorder. Quality stuttering therapy now focuses on supporting confident, enjoyable communication, and helping stuttering become as comfortable and efficient as desired by the person who stutters.
Currently, Konza Speech is only accepting clients who stutter, clutter, or demonstrate other speech fluency disorders as their primary diagnosis. Konza Speech can provide referrals for clients needing support with other areas of communication such as speech sounds and language.
A speech therapist must hold licensure in the state in which the client lives in order to provide services (some state laws vary).
