ALL ABOUT SCHOOL

After graduating from Kasson Mantorville High School in 2015, I pursued a degree at Grand View University in Des Moines, IA and received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education, Reading, and Spanish. While at college I was involved with multiple things but my favorite was an organization called Dance Marathon. This organization works with families who have children diagnosed with various forms of cancer and we put on a "dance marathon" that ran for 24 hours to help raise money for these families.

I always knew I wanted to end up somewhere around Kasson once I graduated because I thoroughly enjoyed the community and school system that I grew up around. Fortunately, I was hired to be a Special Education teacher in 2019 at KMMS! Working with these kiddos has been such a fun adventure!

This is my 5th year at Kasson Mantorville Middle School and I am eager to get this school year started! My passion is helping each and every kiddo find a way to learn that best fits them and their learning needs. I enjoy helping these kiddos find their strengths in their learning environment as well as helping them grow in the areas that are struggles for them.
