Mrs. Malinda Vogel
Chemistry Teacher
Chemistry Teacher
My name is Malinda Vogel and I am extremely excited to be a teacher here at K-M. This is my 6th year here at K-M and 13th year in education. I teach all levels of chemistry- general chemistry, regular chemistry, and college chemistry.
I am a proud 2007 graduate of K-M and have bled blue ever since. I went on to receive my bachelors in chemistry from the College of St. Benedict in 2011. After graduating, I decided to spend a year serving through AmeriCorps and was placed at an alternative high school in New Jersey. This year was a year of transformation for me in many ways, and I fell in love with teaching. Upon returning, I began working at ROC charter high school as a paraprofessional and began a master's program through the college of St. Scholastica to get my teaching license. I graduated with my master's in education in 2015 and took a job at Goodhue school. I taught 7-12th grade science there for 4 years and was also the head softball coach for 3 years.
I enjoy playing softball, wakeboarding and swimming at the lake, taking walks, gardening, and spending time with my three sons - Pearson (7), Emerson (3), and Braxson (6 months).
I am excited for a great year at K-M. Go KoMets!
