Jana Southwick

Welcome! My name is Jana Southwick, and I am the Intervention Coordinator at KMES. In addition to my coordinating and Title 1 responsibilities, I have the privilege of working with students who are striving to read. Other aspects of my job include coordinating KoMet Academy and planning events to bring families together as partners in learning!

I love teaching and helping students discover their talents and abilities! Prior to coming to KMES, I taught one year in Marshall, MN. 

I love spending time with family & friends and going for long walks with our dog, Barney! Other interests include traveling, baking, playing piano, and spending time up north or on the beach.

I love sports...especially football, basketball & volleyball! Depending on the season, you will find me cheering for the MN Vikings, Gophers, or Timberwolves! SKOL!
