Meet Mr. Kaplan

Welcome to 8th grade math. I graduated from Owatonna Senior High School. I attended St . Mary's University of Minnesota in Winona. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a 5-8 emphasis in Math. I have a Masters Degree in Learning Design and Technology from St . Mary's University of Minnesota. I am married to my wife Ashley and we have two kids named Liam and Addison. During my free time I enjoy watching sports, playing golf, and going camping.

I grew up on a dairy farm in Ellendale, MN. We also had about 600 pigs and 500 acres of crop land. I attended Owatonna Senior High School. In 2010 I graduated from SMU in Winona, MN.

I spent 3 years teaching in a small, remote village in Southeast Alaska. I then spent a few years teaching in Southwest Minnesota. I have spent the last 6 years teaching 6th grade at Triton.

My family and I moved to Kasson in the Spring of 2020. I am looking forward to being a KOMET! My two kids are Komets and am excited to be teaching at the middle school.
