Dr. Susan AL Naqshbandi


Susan Al Naqshbandi studied Computer Science at al Nahrain University Iraq, graduated with distinction for the doctoral research conducted in Network Intrusion Detection. After her Ph.D. graduation, she went to Netherlands and equalized her diploma’s so as to start lecturing in Tilburg University (south of Netherlands) in 2011 as an Assist Professor. In 2013 she worked in Vrij University in Amsterdam.

Her area of research is ranging in Computer and Cyber security, Database Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and also Big Data.

Susan is currently a lecturer at the Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department at Komar University of Science and Technology.




Academic Philosophy

Students need a teacher who inspires them. When students view their teacher as inspirational, it increases their appetite for learning.

A classroom needs to feel like a safe place for both students and teachers. In order for creativity and higher level thinking to be present in the classrooms, a feeling of safety must first be present in the classrooms.
